β-Si3N4w is a single-crystal structure β-phase Si3N4 material with submicron rod-like morphology, and its intrinsic property is close to the theoretical value. In addition to the excellent intrinsic properties of β-Si3N4, the rod-like morphology of β-Si3N4w gives it a high specific surface area and a large aspect ratio. The specific properties of β-Si3N4w are shown in Table 1.2.
β-Si3N4w is an excellent filler and reinforcement for electrical insulative packaging resin and ceramic of the electronic components as well as polymer and ceramic matrix composite, which can significantly enhance the strength, toughness, modulus, thermal conductivity and reliability of the products. β-Si3N4w is an excellent electrical insulative and thermal conductive filler of thermal interfacial materials, which can improve the thermal conductivity, electrical insulativity, thermal expansion coefficient as well as the dielectric loss of thermal grease and silicone pad, etc. β-Si3N4w can be used to prepare porous ceramics with excellent properties, which is widely used in wave-transparent materials, filters, catalyst carriers and biomaterials.
